TMDSCNCD28388D: Question about the serial connection of multiple nodes of the EtherCAT slave

Part Number: TMDSCNCD28388D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE

Hi Team,

Here are some issues from the customer may need your help:

I have a Beckhoff master station (C6930-0050).

I use two TMDSCNCD28388Ds to chain together two slaves:

master station network port-->direct network cable-->control card 1 P0

                                                                                    control card 1 P1-->crossover network cable-->control card 2 P0

1. The master station and the P0 port of the control card 1 are connected by a direct network cable. Will this cause problems? Test the CiA402 routine under C2000Ware and found no problem.

2. Should the connection between the two control cards use a crossover network cable?

3. If two control cards program the same XML files from the CiA402 routine by using TwinCAT respectively. After power-on, run the CPU1 routine and CM4 routine of control card 1 first, and then run the CPU1 routine and CM4 routine of control card 2. When I scan the device with the master station, can I see 2 devices?

4. According to the above connection, if the eeproms of the two control cards have not been programmed, and the CiA402 routines of the two control cards are run successively, can TwinCAT scan two devices?

Thanks & Regards
