TIDM-1000: firmware: the PWM interrupt timing

Part Number: TIDM-1000
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28377D

Hello,

I have a question on the Design Guide TIDM-1000 of Vienna Rectifier-Based, Three-Phase Power Factor Correction (PFC) Reference Design Using C2000 MCU.

Specifically it is on the PWM interrupt timing of the DSP device.

First, with reference to Figure 4 of the design guide, it seems that the PWM interrupt event is generated when the time-base counter equals to the one half of the PWM period.

However as far as I analyze the firmware for the TMS320F28377D device, the PWM interrupt event is generated when the time-base counter equals to the CMPC register when the timer is decrementing.

And because the CMPC register is initially zero, the PWM interrupt event may be generated  when the time-base counter is decrementing to zero.

Please review this issue for me.

Thank you for your advice.

With regards,

JS Yoo
