Hi,

I am trying to run flash example from C2000Ware 3.03 (device_support\f2837xd\examples\cpu1\flash_programming_dcsm\cpu01).

But after going to the example function Example_CallFlashAPI in the debug mode, there is some problem - the instructions have 0x00 code and ILLEGAL ISR is called. Screenshot and the project are attached.

Can you help me find the issue here? Maybe I am missing some compiler options (I use TI v20.2.4.LTS) or something else?

Small update:

I managed to fix the first issue - there was missing #define _FLASH in the example code.

After adding it I managed to go into the Example_CallFlashAPI function, but I am stopped at programmed values verification with error in line 315. The Fapi_StatusType = 500 and the status code is 0x1010.

Do you know what can be the cause?

Hi Mateusz,

There is a FMSTAT status for program or erase operations. What do you mean by status code for verify function?

Please provide more details.

We managed to run the example, in the end there were two issues:

- #define _FLASH was missing in F2837xD_SysCtr.c file. The problem with ILLEGAL ISR was gone after adding it.

- We missed the hard-coded CLK frequency parameter in Fapi_initializeAPI function. After setting it to the correct value the example finishes successfully.

Our problem is resolved, but I have another question - what is the reason that we need to add the #define _FLASH in F2837xD_SysCtr.c and perform memcpy()? Shouldn't be the memory set up in the linker? Are we missing something in the linker settings?
