TMS320F28075: Selecting Filtered Digital Compare Events, DCAET2, DCAET1 as inputs to Action Qualifier

Part Number: TMS320F28075

Good day to you.

I would like to use the Filtered Events of DCxETy (e.g DCAET2) as Inputs to the Action Qualifier (T1 or T2).

Please clarify this for me, if the Digital Compare events are filtered (DCEVTFILT) and used as inputs to the Action Qualifier Trigger Events (T1 or T2), which signal then appears as the input to the Action Qualifier, is it the filtered or un-filtered Digital Compare events? I ask this because the Action Qualifier Trigger Event Source Select (AQTSRCSEL) register only mentions the DCAEVT1, DCAEVT2, DCBEVT1, DCBEVT2 and mentions nothing about the filtered Digital Compare Events and yet I would like to have the filtered Digital Compare events as inputs to the Action Qualifier.

  • Hi Mabonga,

I recently had spoke to a colleague of mine and I need to update you on your original question. The Digital Compare events are the un-filtered Digital Compare events. I am sorry I was incorrect in saying that you could pass the filtered digital compare event to the action qualifier for this device.

  • This won't perform the intended function. I think the best way of performing it is by using the T1 and T2 inputs to the Action Qualifier. I route the ePWMA signal outside the microcontroller and use the input X BAR, then use as inputs to T1 or T2 of the action qualifier.

  • That is one solution and XBAR allows for that flexibility. I also updated my original response to answer your question!
