TMS320F28386S: GEL Expression: GEL_Go

Part Number: TMS320F28386S

I was walking through some code using Run to Line and this popup, GEL Expression: GEL_Go, appears. It never stops.

Could you tell me what and why?

Thanks,

JH

  • John,

Is this same issue you created another post? You mentioned that it is using CCS3 or it is newer CCS?

If it is on same topic, then I will close duplicate thread.

    Regards, Santosh

  • In another thread the device was CCS3 but I just chose from the dropdown assuming it was CCS3. That thread was about the cursor moving not GEL so it is not a duplicate.

  • In both threads you mentioned 'Run to Line'. I am not sure if I understand your setup.

So you have two projects, and in both projects you are facing issue in 'Run to Line' feature?

  • Thanks for your diligence. One thread was about the Gel expression, run to line was just a means to get to the problem. I do not think I had a run to line problem.

The other thread where I mentioned run to line was Cursor moves...

Again, run to line was not suspect it was just that I had set a run to line position while the project was building. That point was in a different file from main. The debugger always sets the cursor to the opening bracket of main(), jumping away from where I was working.
