TIDM-02008: Current loop ref and fb value

Hi team,

While we go through the demo code of our reference desin TIDM-02008, there is one confusing thing here:

In the current loop, the gi_out formula is as following:

However, the DCL_runPI_C1 funtion is as following:

The reference and the feedback value position is not matched between the above two lines. Could you pls help to clarify the reason here?

Hello Mia

I have taken the above diagram from TIDM 2008 user guide, page 8. The reason the reference and actual current is flipped is that the duty ratio goes to the upper switch. If we want to increase the actual current (in the direction as shown), the duty to the upper switch should be decreased. Also, note that the duty ratio is also affected by the feedforward term.
