Part Number: TMS320F28015
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE

Hello E2E Experts,

Good day.

I was trying to run the instapain  foc examples with ccs v12.2 and C2000Ware_MotorControl_SDK_4_02_00_00. I ame useing the lanchxl-280049c and drb8320rs. There are a loot of mismatch between the C2000Ware_MotorControl_SDK_Getting_Started_Guide.pdf and the ccs v12.2

PDF File.

The CCS V12 screen:

There is no show in command.

Import: there is no import command under the ccs project commands

Please let me know who to run the instaspin examples.

Regards,

CSC

  • I believe the options are different depending on what CCS "Perspective" you're using. It looks like you are in the Debug perspective, but those options only show up in the CCS Edit perspective. Can you try switching back? The buttons to do so are usually in the upper right corner:

  • Hello Whitney,

    Good day.

After I enter the ccs edit mode

I can’t open the javascript file.

I can’t activate the continuous refresh

Nothing happens in the expression window.

    CSC

  • Sorry for the confusion. You needed to be in the CCS Edit mode to use the Show In > Outline option and to get the same menu shown in the guide screen shot you shared. However, when you have an active debug session going, you do need to switch back to the CCS Debug perspective. In the Debug perspective, assuming you're properly connected to the device, the Expressions window and Javascript should work.

Are you having any trouble connecting to the device and loading your code?

  • Hello Whitney,

    Good day.

There is no screen like that.

Can you enter it into my computer and fix the error? It didn’t work.

    Regards,

    CSC

  • You mean the Expressions window is missing? You should be able to just go to View -> Expressions and then when the .js file runs, it should fill it with the suggested variables. You can also add them to the Expressions window manually.

Same thing with the other windows like Variables, Registers, Disassembly, etc...--you can usually add them from the View menu.
