TMDSDOCK28379D: What if the pin 121 to 180 are not connected

Part Number: TMDSDOCK28379D

Hi,

I am using the TMDSDOCK28379D for an application, and i dont need to use the pin from 121 to 180.

Also, i don't have the docking on my board for those pin (121 to 180)....

Is the card going to work well without de 5V and GND on the pin requiring it between 121 and 180?

Thanks for the support!

Vincent Beaulieu-Gagnon

  • Hello Vincent,

The 5V connection is shared with a few other pins that are held in common (same with ground), so it should still work. Alternatively, you can use the USB connection for the controlCARD to supply power in addition to emulation. The 5V supply will be needed for the LDO that supplies the device with 3.3 V.

As a side note, is there a reason why the docking boarding you are using with the controlCARD does not have those pins available? Are they broken or are you trying to use a board that is not made for the F28379D?

    Best regards,

    Omer Amir
