TMS320F28375S-Q1: Whether spin soft decoding is supported

Part Number: TMS320F28375S-Q1

Hi,

Can F2837x series products support spinning soft decoding?  If not, what products will support it?

Many thanks~

  • Can F2837x series products support spinning soft decoding?

What do you mean soft decoding? Any more detailed description on this?

  • Hi Yanming,

Infineon's AURIX series supports RDC soft decoding.

Infineon's new Tricore architecture, TC275, is a microprocessor designed for automotive motor control with a Delta-σ ADC module on the SPB bus. This module contains six parallel Delta-Sigma ADC channels, each with a rectifier and integrator dedicated to spin and change decoding. It requires the coordination of the hardware circuit outside the chip, the hardware circuit configuration of the two DSADC modules and the software algorithm to complete the rotational decoding, so this decoding mode can be called rotational software decoding.

The above explanation is reproduced on the Internet.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Rhea, you may want to take a look at the reference solution for EV traction: https://www.ti.com/tool/TIDM-02009. It supports s/w RDC decoding.
