In our application we plan to have two DSPs: One for power conversion controls and the second for implementing safety functions (leakage currents detection, arcing detection etc). We need your advise in selecting the best communication channel between these two DSPs. We are considering the following options:
1- SPI
2- I2C
3- LIN
4- McBSP
5- CAN
6- uPP
Any better alternate will be welcome for suggestion.
The most important criteria is the minimal software over head on the controls DSP followed by reliable and high speed communication. We expect the payload to be under 100 Words and regular communication interval to be 50 mSec. Kindly let us know if more details are needed.
