Hi,

I wish to implement FOC motor control using BOOSTXL-DRV8323RS. Based on my findings, the following 2 launchpad are suitable to act as a controller board for BOOSTXL-DRV8323RS

- LAUNCHXL-F28069M

- LAUNCHXL-F280025C

From what I understand, LAUNCHXL-F28069M is supported by MOTORWARE and LAUNCHXL-F280025C is supported by C2000WARE-MOTORCONTROL-SDK.

Just a quick check with you, what's the difference between LAUNCHXL-F28069M and LAUNCHXL-F280025C?

Which launchpad have more info and supporting documents in TI website that can help me in my FOC motor control development?

Which launchpad will you recommend for FOC motor control development?

    From what I understand, LAUNCHXL-F28069M is supported by MOTORWARE and LAUNCHXL-F280025C is supported by C2000WARE-MOTORCONTROL-SDK.

    Yes, this is correct from a software perspective.

    Just a quick check with you, what's the difference between LAUNCHXL-F28069M and LAUNCHXL-F280025C?

    The biggest difference to the user is the C2000 device designed into the LaunchPad. The F280025C is a much newer (10 years) Gen3 C2000 device with a number of enhancements and new peripherals. This guide should help to understand the device differences https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/SPRU566

    Both have good documentation and could be used for FOC motor control development. Support for F280025C would be newer / fresher.

    If you choose to evaluate F280025C then you can look into using the Universal Motor Control Lab available in the MCSDK.
