CCSTUDIO3: Need CGT 7.0.6 - where can I download

Part Number: CCSTUDIO3

I would need the CGT 7.0.6 version for C6000 series.

I still use CCS3.3 to maintain an old product and do not want to change.

But I needed to install CCS new (on the old laptop) and I cannot find my install file for CGT 7.0.6 anymore, ...

Any help appreciated.

There is no C6000 compiler release version 7.0.6. Of the 7.0.x series of releases, the last one is version 7.0.5. I presume you want to get version 7.0.5.

It is not available for general download. But, you can install it from within recent versions of CCS. Visit the general CCS page to download it. Next, obtain C6000 compiler version 7.0.5 by following the directions in the article Compiler Installation and Selection. This screenshot shows it is available.

Hi!

Unfortunately I cannot install the most recent version of CCS as my system is based on Windows XP and CCS will not work with that - additionally the hardware requirements will not be met I guess.

I cannot move to a newer system since all of the additional tools that have been programmed are not compatible with any newer operating system.

Is this suggestion practical?

Install the recent version of CCS on a different machine that has a current version of Windows. Install C6000 compiler version 7.0.5 in that CCS. Then, copy the compiler files over to the older machine.

The suggestion is great. That will solve my issues. Can you point out which files I have to copy?

On the machine with a recent version of CCS, the compiler is located in a directory path similar to ...

C:\ti\ccs1200\ccs\tools\compiler\ti-cgt-c6000_7.0.5

Copy the entire contents of this directory.
