TMS320F280039C-Q1: Implementation of two control algorithm within a sampling time of 15uS

Hello Experts,

Can we fit the control algorithm of two converters (Totempole & PSFB) with in 15uS.? Totempole having 2 current control loop & one voltage control loop. PSFB having one voltage & one current loop. With the support of CLA, can we run AFE from CPU & PSFB from CLA so that this 120MHz processor can fit the code with in 15uS ?

Put PFC current loop in 15uS ISR. Then put PFC volt loop inside another 10kHz ISR.

For PSFB, there is only volt loop since PCMC is in MCU internal hardware (Comparator +DAC+Slope compensation inside MCU). So, use the 15uS ISR for the PSFB volt loop. T

Hi shamim,

thank you for your time. We are planning avg inductor current control for PSFB, not PCMC. with voltage & current loop in parallel form. and PFC control in series form (2 inner IL control and one outer voltage control).

10kHz ISR is enough for voltage control of PFC ?

Is it possible to operate PSFB completely from CLA's ownership ?

whether CLA have the access to the peripherals ?

10kHz ISR is enough for voltage control of PFC ?

YES, this is enough for PFC volt loop because vloop bandwidth requirements is only about 15~20Hz.

Is it possible to operate PSFB completely from CLA's ownership ?

YES, all that control code can run from CLA. There are example ref designs that shows CLA usage.

whether CLA have the access to the peripherals ?

YES, it has access to all peripherals needed for control
