How do I set the serial flash programmer device option when using the 28335 device?

Part Number: C2000WARE
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28335,

Hello.

I am trying to update TMS320F28335 with SCI.
I used SDFlash before, but it no longer works with Windows 11.
I think a serial flash programmer could be an alternative.
However, a question arose while looking at readme.txt in the serial flash programmer folder.
The device options will show f2802x, f2803x, f2805x, f2806x, f2837xD, f2837xS, f2807x, f28004x, f2838x, f28002x, f28003x, f280013x, or f280015x.
Is there no 28335? Or do I need to specify which devices are compatible? What devices is it compatible with? I'm confused.

  • Hi Jg,

The F28335 device is compatible with the serial flash programmer. The device name is f2833x when inputting commands to the console. I am not sure how this wasn't added to the README file, but will be sure to do so. Thank you for pointing this out.

Also by typing '-h' in the command window along with the commands, the help menu lists f2833x as one of the devices.

    Thanks and regards,

    Charles
