Hello guys,

One of my customers is very interested in TIDM-BIDIR-400-12 reference design.

At this moment, they have the following question.
Could you please give me your reply?

Q.
They want to build a proto model using TIDM-BIDIR-400-12 documents and downloaded gerber data.
They use OrCAD Capture and OrCAD PCB Designer for PCB design.
But the downloaded gerber data could not be used on OrCAD.

Does TI have any geber data of TIDM-BIDIR-400-12 which can be used for OrCAD?

Kasuya,

gerbers are a tool independent format. I believe the files for this design are error free, so this would likely be an issue on the customer side. I'm guessing that this request is related, the customer is not asking for Gerbers, but the native format. It is available, but not in an OrCAD format. i believe it is in the PADS format, use an importer for the files.

this information should be inside of controlSUITE.

I do not have the exact path, but its under solutions and has "400-12 bidir" in its name.

Is it difficult that you find the exact path?

If your reply is yes, does it mean that the customer can not get the PADs format layout data?
Do they need to design the PCB layout by themselves base on layout PDF file?

I don't have the software package installed, it would take some time to install to get the exact path. It is easy to find however under the solutions directory.

Since a controlSUITE install would be more than 15% of my remaining available memory on my PC I did not want to install it.
