TMS320F28384D: "Microcontroller Replacement: Transitioning from TMS320F28386S to F28384D - Hardware Considerations"????

Part Number: TMS320F28384D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28386S

"The microcontroller I am currently using is TMS320F28386S. According to the chip manual, I learned that the F28384D is PIN TO PIN compatible with the F28386S. When I replaced the F28386S with the F28384D, the simulator could not recognize the chip. Do I need to make any hardware modifications for this change?"

  • Error connecting to the target:
       (Error -180 @ 0x0)
The controller has detected a target power loss.
The user must turn-on or connect the power supply for the target. (Emulation package 5.1.450.0)

I have measured the 3.3V and 1.2V power supplies, and they are within normal range.
