TMS320F28379D: TMDSCNCD28379D PCB file has no copper layer after opening

Part Number: TMS320F28379D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDSCNCD28379D, C2000WARE

Hi Team,

There's an issue from the customer need your help:

TMDSCNCD28379D After the pcb file is opened in pads or AD, many lines are in unconnected state. It should be that there is no copper in the copper clad layer. Why is this source file incomplete?

This is a file opened directly by pads

This is C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_MotorControl_SDK_5_01_00_00\c2000ware\boards\controlCARDs\TMDSCNCD28379D\R1_3\{TEX137}_F2837x_controlCARD_R1.3_PCB_PADS.asc imported using AD. This is officially provided.

Best Regards,

Ben

  • Looking at the image it looks like these "unconnected" objects are GND or PWR elements. I believe the issue may be how Altium is interpreting the GND and PWR planes in the PADS design and mapping them to negative layers on the Altium imported design. It may be better to reach out to Altium support on this.
