LAUNCHXL-F280025C: Data transfer error when using SCIA TX RX to connect to PC through PL2303

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F280025C
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE

Tool/software:

Hi Sir

I'm using SCIA connect to PC. It sends data from PC and send the same data back.

During the actual operation, I found that the data returned was wrong. I checked that the TX and RX signals are indeed the values displayed by the PC. May I ask where there may be a problem?

  • Hi Aaron,

What is your communication process; are you using FIFOs? How much data are you trying to send?

Are you using any of our C2000Ware examples already? If not, I would highly recommend referencing one of them and comparing your projects ({C2000Ware}\driverlib\f28002x\examples\sci). For example, there is an SCI echoback example there you may find helpful.

Can you also try putting the F28002x device SCI into 'internal loopback' mode (where SCI TX is internally connected to SCI RX) and see if you are transmitting and receiving the same/correct data? This can help to confirm your SCI configurations are correct.

    Best Regards,

    Allison
