Hello,

I am very new to DSP. I have a Launchpad F28379d. I want to make an interface board for it for AC motor drive application using three phase inverter (SEMIKRON). I am looking for an Interface board reference design which includes ADC input signal conditioning using a hall based current sensor (LA-55P) and PWM level shifter. Any help or suggestion is appericiated.

    This sounds similar to a general DRV boosterpack. I would recommend to take a look at the DRV8323 board design and the componentry used on it

  • Thank you for the reference, the DRV8323 board is different from what I was looking for. I already have a working three phase converter of 10KVA for driving a 5HP induction motor. We are planing to use hall based current sensor for feedback. but to use f28379d we need an interface. for an example how a hall based current sensor be intrerfaced with ADC of f28379d. If any interface circuit reference design is available that can be used for controlling any three phase inverter for motor drive applications that would be great.

    We showcase level shifting reference on the LaunchPad itself through the eQEP quadrature interface. For hall sensor, we typically demonstrate FOC with hall sensor measurements which are read through our digital input pins.

    For reference on connecting hall sensor output to ADC, let me see if we have any specific references. Depending on your application requirements, suppose you can get by with voltage divider but may also require buffering the output to the ADC

    Can you try and take a look at the board used in the TIDA-010936 reference design? My colleague let me know that they are currently evaluating the hall sensor in this reference and it has a configuration to supply analog voltage to our ADC module for position sensing
