Hi Team,

I am using CAN example 'can_ex5_transmit_receive' with LAUNCHXL-F2800137 development board from C2000Ware.

And wanted to develop a functionality where one CAN Node able to receive data from multiple Nodes on the same CAN Bus Network. How the data can be received and visible during Debug session.

Can you please guide me how to achieve this with above mentioned TI hardware.

Can you please explain the CAN Message ID and CAN Object ID. They are used in CAN_setupMessageObject() API.

Message ID is the ARB ID i.e. ID of the frame. Object ID refers to the ID of 32 message objects.

I have gone through the resources shared by you. The data has shown CAN communication between two nodes.

I wanted to setup classical CAN communication between multiple nodes. Let's say three nodes where two of them are transmitting and one is receiving node.

In this case how can i able to hear from these two transmitting nodes, this is where my work got stuck.

So can you please help me in this particular case.

In order to receive a frame, either there must be an exact match of the MSG ID or the frame to be received must satisfy the mask filter setup on the receiver. You can understand this if you go through the Driverlib examples.

Sure sir, I was implementing this on given C2000Ware examples. But with that I can implement between two nodes only.

How can I implement communication on more than two nodes.

Whether your network has two nodes or twenty nodes, the underlying principles are exactly the same. By “underlying principles”, I am referring to message arbitration, acceptance mask filtering etc. Very difficult to explain beyond this in a forum post. Run every example in Driverlib. Analyze the examples line-by-line. Everything you need to understand the module is contained in my app.note and the examples. Of course, you need to supplement that by reading the TRM chapter carefully.
