TMS320F2812: Errata SPRZ193T: [eCAN] Unexpected Cessation of Transmit Operation - Clarification needed

Tool/software:

The errata document mentions "In rare instances, the cessation of message transmission from the eCAN module has been observed (while the receive operation continues normally)."

"Rare instances" is not clear. Does the transmission completely stop forever and a reset is needed? Or does it resume when the next message is sent?

On a different note, if this is a new project, I would encourage you look at our newer devices. Our newer devices are more powerful and have more features but often at a lesser cost. You can find suggestions for functionally-compatible newer devices in the device homepage under the title "Similar products you might be interested in". We have also published numerous migration guides to help you migrate to our newer devices.

Specifically, for the 2812, the suggested new device is TMS320F28377S. It has a different CAN module that does not have this issue.
