TMS320F28384D: JTAG Lock

Part Number: TMS320F28384D

Tool/software:

Summary:  The C2000 was doing self-programming flash (not through JTAG), when the XRSn pin reset the device.   Customer was NOT programming or changing OTP registers when reset occured.    However  this process bricked our device.   They have removed and replaced the C2000 and confirmed the PCB board is still working.

For the C2000 that has been removed from the PCB board.   Is there a way to tell if the JTAG is locked or if OTP registers got programmed inadvertently?

  • Hi,

Is there a way to tell if the JTAG is locked or if OTP registers got programmed inadvertently?

If you are not able to connect to the device, then it will not be possible to determine exactly what happened.

Please put the device into wait boot mode if possible. If you then try 'Test Connection' to the device inside of the Target Configuration menu and there is a failure, then it will not be possible to determine exactly what happened.

    Best Regards,

    Ben Collier
