F28M36P63C2: I wonder if some of the GPIOs have restarted?

hello,

We have a device that uses F28M36P63C2, we use the C2000 core to drive a motor, and the M3 core to do the external display and control. Once the customer reported that the indicator light of the equipment (M3 core, IO port direct drive, current of about 6mA) suddenly went out, and returned to normal after more than ten seconds, and the motor continued to rotate during the time when the light went out.
We checked the data that was written to flash at regular intervals through the M3 kernel and found no abnormal data.
I would like to ask, is there a possible reason that causes part of the M3 kernel to reboot? If so, what will be the reboot time? If not, I would like to know what could be causing the situation I am talking about?

Are there any possible locations in the customer's code that could turn the GPIO/led off? What do you mean by "part of the kernel" rebooting?

What I mean by this is that some peripherals have been restarted, such as a certain set or groups of GPIOs.

Is this possible?

If a device reset occurs yes. Can you probe the XRS pin to confirm whether a device reset is occurring?

I think you don't get the point what I am saying, I mean only part of the GPIO reboots, not the whole chip completely reboots. If the XRS pin level changes and causes a reset, the entire chip should be completely reset. But my new film only partially has io failure, but my SPI, timer, etc. are working normally.In addition, the C2000 core has been working normally without reset。

The concept of a "partial reset" exists according to the following table:

Depending on the reset cause, only part of the device will be reset. Please review this table to determine if any of these may be resetting the IOs without resetting the peripherals / CPU timer etc.
