Hi,

I am looking forward to do a project that has a flash kernal and the application both can be stored in the Flash at the same time. when mcu is needed to be updated the flash kernal will be called to RAM and execute and update the application program through CAN communication. I am required to know the best method to complete this project. I went through both f28069_can_flash_kernal and Example_f2806xFlashProgramming example projects given ion the c2000ware. The problem is that the can_flash_kernal example only executes in the RAM and do not include a Flash section to keep it permanantly. Hope to have further guidance on this.

Hi Charles,

Thank you for that, I will refer it. Also, I would like to know whether there are any references that I can go through on how to run 2 programs in 2 different sectors of the flash and run each program when user is needed, and how to use the "f28069_can_flash_kernal" project.

Hi Ashan,

Will reference the Live Firwmare Update application note for loading 2 programs to different sectors of flash (not exact use case for running each program based on user need, like at startup).

The "f28069_can_flash_kernal" project exists as a demo but we do not currently have that example use case.
