TMS320F28P559SJ-Q1: Flash programming not working when combined with other code

Did you make the necessary changes to port from F28004x to F28P55x or are you attempting to run the same code? What type of bootloader are you trying to use?

Hi Matt,

It is changed from 4x to P55x for both bootloader and app. The bootloader is designed by ourselves. Basically, the app. can work with flash programming if only App. downloaded. When combined with bootloader, bootloader can load app code (from communication port) and programming it to P55x flash. After reset, App. can run normally (at lease communication) exclude flash programming. If run flash programming from App, P55x will fail. 

I suspect P55x has new flash protection needs well taken care of .

To clarify, what is failing? Is it in the bootloader or application code? Which communication protocol are you using? 

Also, are you trying to execute the Flash API from RAM? It sounds like you're trying to run the Flash API functions from flash which is not allowed.

Hi Matt,
There are some "Failing" things when using "Fapi_initalizeAPI()" or other flash API function. It sounds like it needs to load flashAPi lib. to RAM.  In example code cmd. it finds: .  I tried to add it to my one, but it failed in compiling as "#10008-D cannot find the file"FAPI_F28P55x_EABI_c4.00.00.lib". Couldn't understand it why with same location for this lib. as in example.
