TMDSCNCD28P55X: ADC Channel A2 and A3 Not Working

Our firmware is supporting the 100 pin package, but the TI control card is using 120 pin package. If there is anything that our firmware needs to configure or change to be compatible with the 120 pin package on the TI control card, giving the assumption this might be the reason why ADC channel A3 is not working with our firmware.

How do I interpret this table from the data sheet

The analog input (ADC A3) we are trying to use is circled red in the controlCard pin out.

I'd really appreciate if someone from TI can take a look at this and provide some feedback or clarification. We are in an urgent situation caused by this issue.

Hi Frank,

Please select 120-pin package inside firmware to test the control card. It will not work if you use 100 pin package inside firmware.

Go to project properties and then in CCS build ...sysconfig... miscellaneous

Please refer to below screenshot for reference.

or open sysconfig in generic text editor and look at the package there. It will be there in top 5/6 lines.

That's a very helpful hint. May I ask what version of CCS you are using. I'm using v12.8.1.00005, and I don't see the option for sysconfig under Build.

I have both CCS v12.4 and CCS v12.8 installed on my computer, and I don't see the 'SysConfig' option under Build with neither these two version. I have two follow up questions:

1. Is there any add-on I need to install to be able to see that in CCS?

2. Where can I directly access 'sysconfig' (i.e. the file directory) if I don't see it on CCS?

I am not sure of that. I think you don't have to do any additional installation.

Do you have Sysconfig file under your project? If so, right click on it and open with generic text editor and look at the package there.

I don't have Sysconfig file under my project. I did a global search under my entire project directory, but I didn't find any Sysconfig file. My colleagues and I have been using TI C2000 MCUs and CCS for the last 15 years. We never had Sysconfig or had to deal with Sysconfig file, so we are eager to learn something new here, and solve our problem as soon as possible as well.

Please educate us 

1. how to generate that Sysconfig file?

2. What format it expects for its config content?

3. Where is normally located under a firmware project?

4. If I receive a config file from others, where should I place it?

5. Also, why are we not able to see the 'Sysconfig' under build in our CCS? (I have used v6. v8, v10, v12.4, v12.8, but I have never seen it)
