Hi Champs,

When customer is running the STL_HWBIST_runMicroTest() on their F28377S, the cpu always makes the reset.

Where should customer look into? is there any estimated mistake for this?

and when they run the STL_HWBIST_runFull(), which registers will be tested?

Core Registers only?

or it includes FPU, VCU and TMU?

Is it only runMicroTest the fails? Or does runFull() fail as well? How are they observing the reset? Are they scoping the reset pin?

The HWBIST does cover the extended instruction set units (FPU, VCU, TMU) as well as the core CPU.

Hi Whitney,

runMicroTest fails. and reset occured by watchdog. when they disabled the watchdog, it stops and never get back to the main while loop or interrupt. what can be wrong here?

Have they set up their linker command file to add the hwbist section to address 0? Do they have a memcopy in the code to copy the context restore function from flash to this RAM location? If the context restore function isn't placed correctly, HWBIST won't be able to return.

They used .cmd for RAM for flash based code. by fixing the linker command file, the issue has resolved.
