It seems like we can use KSZ8794(Microchip) for hardware. Do we have firmware solution to support single MAC, external ethernet switch solution for daisy chain?

Ted
Hi Team,
Can anybody check this?
If it's impossible then I will recommend the customer AM26x.

Hi Team,
If we don't have a plan for this, please confirm it.

Hi Ted Huh,
We don't have a reference design for this on F2838x. However, it should be an easy configuration to setup.
Both KSZ8794CNX and F2838x EMAC supports RMII. Configuring both in RMII with MAC to MAC topology.
It is better to get the customer schematics and board files has to be reviewed by TI HW APPs, before board manufacturing.
About AM26x- It has on-chip (integrated) two port MAC switch with gigabit supported speed. PHY is not integrated in switch, which would be a separate part to be added. If customer is interested, please refer to this and this.
