Problem with High Voltage Digital Motor Control Kit

I have just started to work with this HV developer's kit: part no. TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT with "HVBLDCMTR" motor. After following the Quick Start Guide to configure the board for AC power input, I ran the GUI program "HVMTRPFCKIT-GUIv1.exe" that came with it for a quick out of box demonstration. But everytime I click on the 'Start Motor', the motor locks up or when it tries to rotate, it is extremely rough and jerky. This condition continues for a couple of seconds until it blows the fuse on the board. Has anyone seen this problem before? I have also ran the HVBLDC_Sensorless source code in debug/ram mde and looked at the pwm signals. All 6 outputs are perfect square waves, but once I applied the AC power, the signals become extremly distorted and lose its shape. Does anyone know where the problem might be?

What AC voltage are you operating from?

120 AC Volt is what I originally applied, which was causing the AC fuse to blow. But later, I used Variac to apply different voltages at lower range. The higher the applied voltage was the more distorted the pwm signals looked.

Did you follow the incremental build process for the debug/ram projects?

If you cannot get the build 2 to run in open loop that will point to something that is wrong/damaged in the hardware settings,

Thanks. I had been suspecting a hardware problem as well. It was exactly during the incremental build process, at build 2, that I noticed the PWM signals loosing shapes (once AC power was turned on).

Few things to try,

1. If you have a high voltage DC supply ~100V, plug that directly into the inverter banana Jacks, (surpass the AC Power Entry macro), if the problem persists there has been damage to the IPM

2. If you have a power resistor, disconnect the banana connector from the bridge output to the inverter DC Bus in, and use a Power resistor at the bridge output. If the fuse still blows the rectifier might be damages,
