Consumption current of the TMS320F28335 GPIO's on eZdsp board

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28335, SN74AC241

Hello,

I bought Spectrum system KIT TMS320F28335 eZdsp from Farnell.

I have a technical question, please, I'd use 12 GPIO pins that are able produce XINTF functionality (therefore able to provide 8mA) to control 12 relays PhotoMOS probably simultaneously.

My question is : Is this could cause current overconsumption for DSP because we will have in the typical case (12 * 8 mA = 96 mA) for this application only, since I intend to use also other features such as CAN, SCI .. etc.. ?

Can I use this solution without using circuits "SN54AC241", "SN74AC241" or "ULN2xxx" ?

Thank you in advance for your support and have a nice WE!

Best Regards.
