How to Program the F28069 (Piccolo) Experimenter's Kit Control Card Throught the JTAG Connector?

Using a TMDXDOCK28069 (Piccolo) Experimenter Kit (with USB Docking Station and F28069 Control Card) for development.

So far, I've been programming this using just the USB connector on the docking station (with Code Composer at the PC).

Want to try programming this using the JTAG connector.

Question:
If I purchase a TMDSEMU100V2U-14T XDS100v2 USB JTAG Emulator, and connect it to the 14-pin JTAG connector on the USB Docking station and running Code Composer (set up the same way as programming through the Docking Station USB input) with the docking station USB input disconnected and external power supply connected to Docking Station (at JP1), will this work for programming the tms320f28069 on the control card?

Also, can this work if the docking station gets its power from the USB, but programming is through the 14-pin JTAG on the Docking Station?
