Where is info on how to single step debug using the spectrum digital xds510 usb emulator and the tms320R2812 processor. I have code composer 6. I am able to load app.out files and the emulator halts at main.
however when I set any other other break points the processor does not stop. It free runs.
Do I need to configure hardware breakpoints? What am I missing?

Are you setting the breakpoints while in the "CCS Debug" view? This is when you should set them while halted at main.
In the debug view, you can right click on the line that you wish to break at and select between software breakpoints or hardware breakpoints.

The "line cross" means that the breakpoint is set to be skipped. You can manage the breakpoints in the "Breakpoints" window. Go to "View" and select "Breakpoints".
In the breakpoint window toolbar, you can disable "Skip all breakpoints".
