Calculate temperature from Rs online

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BOOSTXL-DRV8301

I've read about the possibility to use the Rs online stator resistance to calculate the temperature of the motor's windings (spruhi9a). Are there any examples, application notes, experiences, advices, ... available? Does anyone use this application and can share some experiences with it?

What are common changes of Rs and how reliable/precise can a calculated temperature approx. be? (+/- 1°C, +/-10°C, ...?)

Thank you,

Carsten
