Hi guys,

I just runned the solution example Lab 9_4 named ' SCI-Receive & Transmit' in module 9 of C2000 Teaching ROM

Based on what on the tutorial saying, The PC should receive ' instruments' after I sent ' Texas'. But actually I didn't get any response when I sent ' Texas'. The program is debugged successfully.

And I also successfully run the lab 9_1 and Lab9_3. I can successfully receive the line message when running the example coding, it means my terminal software can communicate with the MCU without any problem.

And i am so confused now what is the problem coming from?

Alex - as a starting place I would check the cable connections etc. Make sure you are accessing the SCI through a transceiver and not directly to the pins.

You may also want to try the SCI examples in controlSUITE under device_support.

Hi Lori,

I access the sci through the USB but not directly from the pin.

I have run the lab_1 and lab_3 successfully, so i think my connection has no problem

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find someone familiar with the teaching ROM. Do labs 1 and 3 also use the SCI?
