F28379D controlCARD VDDIO design

Hi Champs,

My customer asked about VDDIO_2 (F4/G4) on controlCARD which in series with 0 Ohm. However, other VDDIO didn't in series with resistor. Could you please tell me the reason?

Also, if customer used external crystal oscillator, should we apply 3.3v on VDDOSC? Because crystal oscillator doesn't need 3.3v to start oscillate. should we apply the voltage on VDDOSC ? thanks for your reply in advance !

Hi Lisa,

The VDDIO_2 pins should be tied directly to the same source and treated the same as the VDDIO pins. Do not use the resistors. This was added on the controlCARD for internal testing purposes.

Yes. 3.3V must be applied to VDDOSC even if a single-ended oscillator is used.
