Hello,

My customer looked into the DS Table 6-1 attached and asked the following two questions. Could you please advise?

Q1. 25C, 105C, and 125C: Are they Ta, or ambient temperatures?

Q2. Could you provide MIN and MAX current values? (I think it is a reasonable question for power supply design.)

1) These are Ta, ambient Temperatures.
2) The "Typical Operational" name of the Mode is a bit misleading. This is just the Operational mode of the device running a "typical" operational usecase. We stress the device as much as possible operationally to maximize the power consumption. The values given in each temperature column for each supply are all MAX values at that given temperature condition. You can interpret the 25C data as the "TYP" or nominal data. The 105C and 125C columns are the MAX values. Depending on the temperature rating of your device, you can look at the 125C or 105C. We do not specify the MIN values as this is not actually a very useful data point for a designer. When designing the power stage for the device, you care about the worst case current consumption so that you can size the stage properly for the worst case. I think you are asking for the MIN data in order to see the best case of the device. This is very hard to achieve as it is fully dependent on the application that is run. what is MIN data for your application may not be the same MIN for another.
