TMS320F28377D: IEC60730SWPACKAGES: C2000-DIAGNOSTIC-SW-PACKAGE: support continuity of header files

Part Number: TMS320F28377D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE

Hello,
Me and my customer are discussing which header file is better, or which has longer support:
C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_1_00_01_00\libraries\diagnostic\f2837xd\include\  (stl_epwm_reg.h)
C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_1_00_01_00\device_support\f2837xd\headers\include\  (F2837xD_epwm.h)

We are going to merge two projects, (customer project) and the (f2837xd_test_application project in the C2000-DIAGNOSTIC-SW-PACKAGE).

My customer's question is, do you have plan to stop updating any of the header files above? Or both will be updated simultaneously?

  • Hideaki,

stl_epwm_reg.h is specific to the diagnostic library. If there is a bug in stl_epwm then we will update these files.

F2837xD_epwm.h is the device support header file. This will also be maintained and updated in C2000Ware release updates.

There is no plan to stop maintaining these. They may not be updated simulataneously. The stl_epwm will only be updated in new diagnostic library releases if there is a bug in it.

    Hope this helps!

    sal
