TMS320F280049: CLA register setup

While setting up the CLA my customer noticed that in the reference manual (sprui33a) the register descriptions for Cla1Regs is missing.
Also in the setup-guide the “Enable Clock Register” refers to PCLKCR3, however it seems the correct register is PCLKCR0 (acc registers in the ref manual).

I there a manual update pending?

There is a reference manual update pending for the PCLKCR0 register.

I will file a ticket for the Cla1Regs missing. You can see the F2837x TRM to get that information, except the information for the background task registers will be missing, since F28004x CLA has that feature but F2837x does not.

The Cla1Regs will be included in the next revision of the TRM as well.

Sal,

I am reluctant to reference to F2837x TRM as F2837x has CLA Type1 and F28004x has CLA Type 2, so I never know what is compatible and what not.
When will the updated F28004x TRM be available?

Hi Bernd,

It won't be re-released for a couple of months. The register definitions and offsets are the same as F2837x except for the background task functionality. Those are added registers for the type 2.

Also, you can look at the driverlib code for F28004x. In the hw_cla.h there will be definitions for the CLA registers and their respective bit fields.
