TMS320F28031: How to change UART / SCI Tx drive strength

I'm seeing a large amount of overshoot and undershoot on the UART Tx line using GPIO29 on TMS320F28031.

Is there a way to reduce the drive strength in software?

If not, what would be the best way to do so in hardware?

The only 'software' adjustment that can be made to the pin is enabling or disabling internal GPIO pull-up resistors using the GPAPUD and GPBPUD registers. See page 74 and 97 in the TMS320F2803x Piccolo System Control and Interrupts Reference Guide - SPRUGL8:
