TMS320F28052F: clarity for PGA and DAC in SPRS797B and SPRUHE5d

Part Number: TMS320F28052F

A bit confused by the  In SPRS797B (July 2014) the device comparison section for TMS320F28052F states there are:

4 PGAs

3 fixed gain amps

1 buffered reference DAC

----

Regarding the DAC, figure 6-24 shows a 6 bit DAC connected to "CMP1" that in turn drives the signal Vrefout/AO.  Should CMP1 be a follower as in Fig 6-26? )

Regarding the PGAs - SPRUHE5d in section 7.1.1 states "The gain selection is software programmable through the AMPxx_GAIN registers, but one or more of

these registers may be locked on some devices. See the device data manual to determine if the PGA gain is software-selectable or if the gain is locked to a fixed selection."

Its not clear where to look to see if what is actually programmable.

Does the TMS320F28052F have 4 programmable gain PGAs, and 3 fixed gain amps (for a total of 7 independent) input amps?  If some of the PGAs are locked, what gain do they have?  What document do I reference?

Thank you.
