CCS: InstaSPIN-Labs: Motor doesn't run as it should

Following lab2b, did you populate the motor parameters into the user.h for use by the future labs?

another thing i forget to mention is that if i turn off force angle the motor immedeatly stops

Are you using custom hardware? Force angle doesn't use ADC feedback to generate the output angle - it uses a ramp generator of sorts to generate the output. It sounds like you're not getting any information from the system back to the EST module

your assumption could be right because the measured speed values also seem wrong.

can you imagine the root cause of this problem?

We have provided labs 1b and 1c in Motorware 18 to help identify issues with the SVGEN and current/voltage feedback networks. These labs are intended for users trying to run InstaSPIN on custom hardware. Can you please have a try with these labs? They are open loop, and current closed loop, labs which will help figure out what could be wrong with your board

thanks for the tip. i'm using the TAPAS inverter, so which board should i select when i open the lab file (from which board folder should i import the file into ccs)?

I am not familiar with TAPAS, but after some investigation, it looks like an open source inverter topology. Is it using discrete components or an integrated driver or FET+driver package?

You will need to create a duplicate version of the hardware abstraction layer (HAL) that you will use for your board. It looks like the open source Git may have done some of this already, but I'm not entirely sure. The Git for the TAPAS repo is here: github.com/.../TAPAS

The important thing is to generate a unique user.h, hal.c and hal.h for your board. You should be creating directories for your board that mirror the existing TI EVM directories here: C:\ti\motorware\motorware_1_01_00_18\sw\modules\hal\boards and here: C:\ti\motorware\motorware_1_01_00_18\sw\solutions\instaspin_foc\boards

If you've never worked with InstaSPIN before, I may suggest starting with a known working hardware kit such as the LAUNCHXL-F28069M and BOOSTXL-DRV8305EVM to get familiar with how the SW works. Creating a new set of board drivers may be complicated if you're not familiar with how they work from a known version
