Hello, I need help with GUI Composer 2, I am trying to create an interface to display some temperature measurements and I am new using this tool. I read temperatures perfectly with Simulink, create the .out file and now I cannot display these temperatures in GUI Composer 2.

Any help will be welcomed,

Urko,

Are you able to create a GUI and hook it up to some global variables but just not get updates in the GUI?

Are you using the XDS100v2 to read the values or attempting to push out via UART?

Does your GUI Composer app show that it is connected to the target:

Is your program going into RAM or FLASH? I sometimes have trouble on C2000 devices if the program is in RAM as depending on the GEL file there may be an extra reset that happens which clears the RAM.

I created a simple GUI Composer app that just shows the value of a global variable on F28379D for the first core. I have the program loaded to Flash and it just has a while loop that toggles the variable between 0 and 1.

It is important to have the following settings in your GUI Composer project:

and the next page you have to add XDS and then in the available models at the bottom click add and select program.

Thanks for your answer, I think the problem comes when binding the widget to a variable, I can not create the program to read the signals I want.

I am using XDS100v2, and I can bind some global variable to a widget, but I don't know how to read the signal and store it in the global variable bound to the widget. the target appears as connected and I can download the .out correctly to the TMS320F28379D.

Hi Urko,

If I read your first post correctly, your code reads the temperature sensor and confirmed that you are reading the values correctly? After the figuring out the Composer GUI issues, you wanted to write the temperature sensor reading to a global variable and your issue is storing this temperature sensor to a global variable. Is it correct?
