LF240xA devices incorporate a security feature that prevents external access to program memory. So you can't read back the program code in the internal Flash of LF240xA devices if it had been designed to password protect.
  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR REPLY,IF IT NOT PROTECTED BY PASSWORD HOW CAN I READ IT WITH XDS510 AND ADS100 EMMULATOR DEVICE?PLEASE DETAIL FOR ME.(THE TMS320F2806 AND 2808 IS SIMILAT THAT?)

    BEST REGARDS.

  • LF2406A devices are supported only in CCSv3.3, which is not supported anymore. Assuming you have a working copy of CCS3.3 and are able to connect to the LF2406A via JTAG, you could read the flash contents as a .out file and save it (Use the File-->Data-->Save option. You need to provide the starting address and flash size). You could then use this COFF file with the CCS flash plug-in and program another device.

The 280x devices incorporate a different security mechanism.
