TMS320F28379D: Endat example report error1

Hi,

I and customer are 1st time to try Endat example project from controlSUITE\libs\app_libs\position_manager on F28379D platform to drive Heidenhain Encoder.

However the encoder position value got by the example project seems out of order, and error1 flag report as 1. May we ask how to check what detail error it is? Because the document about Endat in controlsuite seems not to describe the detail operation flow for issue debug, and also it is no source code to check.

We have check the SPI CLK and DATA signal by Oscilloscope and it look like clear pulse without nosie. We also double confirm to drive Encoder by Heidenhain Board and it can work ok to get correct position value.

Hi,

The flags are just reflective of the bits received from the encoder.
Please refer to the endat protocol specification for more details of errors and how to debug errors.
You could contact Heidenhain support for further clarification about this.
Also, you may clear the error and try the read operation again - you can contact encoder manufacturer for more details.
