TMS320F28027: DCAEVENT2.force signal of HVPSFB_v1.1 PCMC in controlSUITE

Part Number: TMS320F28027

Hi Team,

There is Figure 3-69. Peak Current Mode Control Waveforms for Figure 3-68 in TMS320F2802x,TMS320F2802xx Piccolo TRM (SPRUI09) as below.

Q1: Can we make an additional delayed signal which is like 100ns order delay (Variable)?

Q2: Is it possible to output both signals to an external output?

Tanks and Best regards,

 Kuerbis

  • Kuerbis,

1)On this device, there is not a HW mechanism to auto generate a delayed trip signal from the incoming source.  This has been added on the type 4 PWM found in the F2837x/F28007x/F28004x devices.  This was added to address the potential for shoot through in some topologies.

In this device, instead of passing the comparator output directly to the TZ, you could send it to be monitored by the CPU and then the CPU could apply some SW based delay before manually setting the SW trip signal.

2)I'm not exactly sure what you mean by output both signals to an external output.  I believe that the COMP output can be routed to a pin to view the state externally, but DCAEVT2 is an internal signal only.

Wanted also to point to the digital power training we have online that may address some of these questions:

  • Kuerbis,
Wanted to check in to see if this resolved your question. I will mark TI thinks resolved, please let me know if there is further help needed.

    Best,
