Can we "wakeup" the TMS320F28051 from HALT mode by using the watchdog and/or a GPIO? We want HALT mode for low power but we need to wakeup about once per second to monitor some voltages then go back to HALT mode. If a GPIO line is made low we also need to wakeup a nd run.

    Bob,

    As mentioned in both the datasheet the CPU watchdog and/or a GPIO can wake the device from HALT mode. One key difference is that the Watchdog will trigger a watchdog reset, which will reset the MCU, so the device does exit HALT mode, but will start over again. The GPIO wake is the only true wake up and continue for HALT mode.
