Hello,

I need more information about "code security" which is offered by 240xA DSP controllers that prevent unauthorized duplication of proprietary code.

Any document and/or practical experience.

CSM is clearly explained in Appendix-E of SPRU357C. What other information are you looking for?

On a different note, if this is a new project, please consider moving to a newer device like 28035. LF2406A is a rather old device. The entire toolchain for that device is now obsolete with very limited support.

The matter is that I didn't work with any MCUs of this family (I mean 24x MCUs) and because of the customer insistence I should work with
TMS320LF2406A, despite my technical tendency. We want to copy the program from one TMS320LF2406A to another one and the customer is not sure about the old password.
Mainly I want to know how many times we can try the password? This is the issue about CSM of this MCU and I didn't find any related topic in SPRU357C.

Please read this post very carefully: e2e.ti.com/.../795141 . It has all the information you need.

Please connect the device to CCS3.3 and check the password locations, for the presence of passwords. "Trying" passwords is not realistic, since there are 2^64 combinations.

Yes, that's right
But I meant that we had 20 passwords in hand for different projects, and I wanted to be sure about having no problem when we wanted to check these passwords one by one.
