TMS320F28022: what's the advantage of Q100 version?

the FIT Rate vs. Operating Junction Temperature doesn't show difference between Q100 version and Non-Q100 version for the same package. And the recommended operating conditions of junction temperature of S version and Q version are both -40C to 125C.

So could you please list some key pros of Q version F2802x compared to non-Q version like S version?

For example, does the flash of Q version have longer lifetime?

Hi Howard,

Automotive Q100 devices have extended specifications (especially in regards to temperature - see the datasheet) and often offer better reliability as expected in automotive applications.

The flash endurance of Q grade devices are spec'd at a larger temperature range (down to -40C instead of 0C):

sorry that my question is not specific.

My customer's main concern is:

do we have comparison of "FIT Rate vs. Operating Junction Temperature" of Q100 version devices and non-Q100 version devices?

the paper doesn't show the difference.

If S version, T version and Q version of F28022 have the same failure rate, they have no reason to choose Q100 version devices.

Hi Howard,

Each device is tested to its respective temperature specification as stated in the datasheet. For Q-grade devices there’s a more extensive level of testing to align with automotive industry DPPM requirements.
