TMS320F28379D: Position of the result of the SDFM filter in 16 Bit Mode

Hello,

I have a question regarding the SDFM filter.

I have configured the SDFM1 filter with the following parameters (sinc3, OSR=198, DR=0, shift value=9).

It seems to be working, but the result appears in the DATA32HI part of the SDDATA1 register. I have expected the result in the lower 16 bit part (DATA16) of the SDDATA1 register.

Is this correct?

Hi,

Yes, in 16-bit mode DATA32HI represent the 16-bit result. PFB the register description for reference.

thanks for your information.

Maybe there is a problem in the documentation of the TMS320F28379D (spruhm8i).

In this document the 16-Bit data in 16 Bit mode are shown in the DATA16 field.
