CCS/TMS320F28027F: Read from an external ADC parallel port ADS1605

Dear all,

I am working in a project where I need an external ADC, 16bits 5Msps as ADS1605. The datasheet of ADS1605 recomends to use TMS320C6000 family to do this task but it seems to be very complex.

I wonder if TMS320F28027F, or any similar part, would be able to read from the parallel port of ADS1605. Does anyone have experience in this? How should I use the TMS320F28027F for this task?

Any suggestion or recommendation would be wellcome.

Hi Joaquin,

TMS320F28027F does not have parallel interface. Please look at TMS320F28075 device which has EMIF interface and that can be used for this.

Hi Joaquin,

We do not have any documentation specific to interfacing with the ADS1605 device, but we have an application report, Design and Usage Guidlines for the C2000 External Memory Interface (EMIF), that would help you understand EMIF.
